Contracted AI: pay, who can join and open jobs

Mobile app from Contracted, Inc. (San Francisco) that pays people to film everyday tasks such as laundry, cleaning, cooking and trade work from a phone head mount, to train robots and AI. The official FAQ quotes $8 per hour of approved footage at home (up to $12.50 with streaks and bonus tasks, up to $20 for skilled trades), but one independent tester was offered only $2.60 to $3.50 per footage hour, and only approved footage counts. Approved earnings land in the app balance on a set schedule and can be cashed out with no minimum.

How to get accepted at Contracted AI

Contracted AI publishes little about its hiring process; this is what we could confirm from its own pages and from workers.

Application steps

  1. Open the referral link, choose I want to record, and answer a short AI interview (about 3 minutes) incl. willingness to film home chores
  2. Share location once so they can check head-mount shipping to your region
  3. Record a 20-30 second practice clip holding the phone at your forehead
  4. Install the iOS or Android app, order the head mount in the app and watch the tutorial
  5. Apply to projects in the app, record tasks, submit; approved footage hours are paid to the app balance

The assessment

AI interview with screening questions plus a 20-30 second practice POV clip; no resume. Official forum says approval in about two minutes, but one tester heard nothing for over two weeks.

Requirements

18+, supported country, recent phone (iPhone 12 or newer excl. SE/e models, Pixel 6+ excl. a/Fold, Galaxy S21+ excl. FE), space to film tasks safely, consent from anyone in frame.

Tips to get accepted

How long it takes

Interview result said to be about two minutes, but reports of 2+ weeks with no reply; forum posts mention slow footage reviews and a new 30-day withdrawal window complaint.
