Optional intro call with a Maven associate
Build your profile and answer screening questions
Review compliance docs and set your hourly rate and availability
Maven submits your profile to the client; if selected you get a calendar invite (about 1 week)

The assessment

No test. There are per-project screening questions and compliance screening. AI-training work (RLHF, HITL, annotation) is staffed from the same network.

Requirements

Domain experts such as executives, clinicians, engineers, researchers and lawyers. Public equity investors are excluded, and current employees face conflict-of-interest limits.

Tips to get accepted

Request payout once you reach $100 or more to unlock ACH, PayPal or check
Hold calls only on Maven's conferencing system; outside calls are unpaid
Avoid speeding, straightlining and AI-written answers on surveys, which trigger clawbacks
Update your rate anytime; changes apply to future invites only
Keep name, location and employer accurate to avoid payout delays
Request payouts before Dec 15 because of the holiday blackout
