Design and evaluate financial models and benchmarks for accuracy.

About Turing
Turing is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies, accelerating the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems.

Turing helps customers in two ways: Working with the world’s leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities in thinking, reasoning, coding, agentic behavior, multimodality, multilinguality, STEM, and frontier knowledge; and leveraging that work to build real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical priorities for companies.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance, Accounting & Investment Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design, evaluate, and calibrate high-fidelity domain tasks, financial models, and gold-standard evaluation benchmarks.

This role spans core financial statement modeling, equity/credit analysis, valuation, audit risk assessment, and technical accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS). Candidates will be leveled into mid-level or senior-level tracks (contributor vs. reviewer/lead calibrator) based on functional depth, professional certifications, and years of industry experience.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–15+ years of demonstrable professional experience in investment banking, equity research, private equity, corporate FP&A, Big 4 public accounting, or internal audit.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, balance sheet/income statement/cash flow reconciliation, variance analysis, and core valuation or audit frameworks.

  • Certifications (Preferred): Active professional credentials such as CFA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.

  • Analytical Precision: Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle calculation errors, logical flaws in financial models, or misapplications of accounting standards.

  • Communication & Documentation: Strong written communication skills to articulate clear step-by-step methodologies, model documentation, and objective rubric justifications.

Responsibilities

  • Benchmark Task Authoring: Design rigorous, real-world finance and accounting exercises—including three-statement financial models, discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses, LBO/M&A frameworks, audit workpapers, and technical accounting treatment scenarios—alongside gold-standard solution sets.

  • Rubric Adherence & Application: Apply evaluation rubrics established by the Functional SME Lead to rigorously audit, score, and critique financial calculations, valuation methodologies, and accounting treatments.

  • Review & Quality Calibration (Senior Level): Review and calibrate submissions from pod members to maintain high technical accuracy, resolve accounting or valuation edge cases, and escalate rubric ambiguities to leadership with actionable recommendations.

  • Iterative Refinement: Incorporate structured peer review and calibration feedback across sprint cycles to continuously elevate solution quality bars.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field.
  • Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is preferred but not required.

Offer Details:

  • Commitments Required: at least 4 hours per day and upto 40 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST.
  • Engagement type: Contractor
  • Engagement Length:  12 weeks

Evaluation Process -

  • Applicants needs to submit Job Interest Form & complete the assessment.
  • Final selected candidates will be contacted with the next steps and onboarding requirements.

Skills: Finance, Financial Reporting
