Alpheva AI is looking for experienced software engineers to help train and evaluate AI coding systems through realistic repositories and engineering workflows.

Projects capture the practical judgment behind reliable software, including understanding unfamiliar systems, assessing implementations, and explaining engineering decisions.

Projects may span backend and distributed systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security, frontend and mobile engineering, machine learning infrastructure, and coding agents.

Project terms

The project scope, requirements, and applicable rate are shared before you accept an assignment. Assignments may be short or recurring, with no fixed schedule or minimum commitment.

How it works

1. Apply: Tell us about your engineering background, experience, and areas of expertise.

2. Get qualified: Complete a short, paid software engineering assessment designed around the type of work you will perform.

3. Get matched: When your experience matches an active project, review the scope, requirements, and compensation.

4. Do the work: Complete the agreed project tasks.

5. Get paid: Receive the agreed rate for your completed work.

Confidentiality

You are not required to share confidential information, proprietary source code, trade secrets, or materials belonging to your employer. Use only approved project materials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong programming, debugging, and code review skills in production codebases.
  • Ability to understand unfamiliar repositories and explain technical decisions clearly.
  • Experience writing and reviewing tests and assessing correctness, maintainability, and security.
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java, C++, Rust, or a similar language.
  • Prior AI research experience is not required.
