Fiji/ImageJ Expert - Data Analysis, Bioinformatics Background Required (US Only)

We're looking for data professionals who use ImageJ/Fiji as part of their day-to-day workflow. Selected contributors will be paid to record their real workflows using a lightweight app we provide. Relevant backgrounds include bioinformaticians, microscopists, cell biologists, and researchers who regularly analyze imaging data and extract quantitative measurements.

Requirements:

• Use our recording software to capture and submit sessions
• Record real, day-to-day work - sessions must be continuous and unedited
• Avoid capturing confidential, proprietary, or sensitive data (including passwords and personal data)
• Idle or low-activity sessions will not be paid
• You must use a Windows computer. MacOS is not currently supported.

Sample Tasks:

• Open a multi-channel or z-stack image in ImageJ/Fiji, perform a thorough preprocessing pipeline including brightness/contrast adjustment, background subtraction, and noise reduction, then systematically evaluate and compare multiple preprocessing approaches before selecting the most appropriate one for downstream analysis.
• Use thresholding and segmentation tools in Fiji to isolate and refine regions of interest across multiple frames or slices, iteratively adjusting parameters to optimize segmentation quality, apply and compare multiple thresholding methods, and document the decision-making process before finalizing the segmentation output.
• Build a comprehensive ROI-based measurement workflow in Fiji adding, modifying, and organizing multiple ROIs across an image series in the ROI Manager - run quantitative measurements across all regions, perform batch processing where applicable, and export and organize the full results and summary visualizations for reporting.

$70–$90/hr. Payouts weekly on Wednesdays via Stripe or Payoneer.
