We're looking for professionals who use KiCad as part of their day-to-day workflow. Selected contributors will be paid to record their real workflows using a lightweight app we provide. Relevant backgrounds include electrical engineers, embedded systems developers, hardware hackers, and electronics hobbyists who regularly design and lay out printed circuit boards.
Requirements:
- Use our recording software to capture and submit sessions
- Record real, day-to-day work - sessions must be continuous and unedited
- Avoid capturing confidential, proprietary, or sensitive data (including passwords and personal data)
- Idle or low-activity sessions will not be paid
Sample Tasks:
- Create or open a schematic in KiCad's schematic editor, place components, wire them together, and annotate the design.
- Run the electrical rules check (ERC), assign footprints to components, and transfer the design to the PCB layout editor.
- Route traces between component pads in the PCB editor, set clearance rules, run the design rules check (DRC), and export Gerber manufacturing files.
Pay
$3–$20/hr. Payouts weekly on Wednesdays via Stripe or Payoneer.
