Record voice commands and phrases that activate voice assistants, as paid work from home. It suits native or near-native speakers with space to record at different distances.
What the work is for
Your recordings help voice assistants recognise their activation phrases at different distances. They also help reduce false activations.
The work
- Record the supplied wake words and commands, following the project's guidelines.
- Repeat the phrases at the distances and angles specified for the project.
- Record in the noise conditions the guidelines ask for.
What to expect
- Before you record, the platform takes you through a microphone test and an intake step.
- The platform checks each take automatically. A take that fails is recorded again.
What you bring
- Your own device to record on.
- A room you can record in at several distances.
You need
- A native or near-native accent in the language you record in.
- Consent to be recorded, signed for each project in an agreement that sets how the recordings may be used.
- 18 years or older.
Good to know
- Not every room gives the distances a project asks for, and not every device passes the audio check.
- Applying does not guarantee a project. You are invited when one needs your language and accent.
