Benefit Navigation expert

Pay: $70/hour
Commitment: Hourly, ~40 h/week

Scope of Work

Selected experts will:

• Review and validate evaluation rubrics for accuracy, completeness, and real-world relevance.
• Assess AI-generated benefits-navigation scenarios used to inform a synthetic dataset.
• Determine which scenarios require expert validation and recommend appropriate validation standards.
• Identify inaccurate, unrealistic, ambiguous, or potentially harmful guidance.
• Evaluate whether customer communications reflect industry best practices.
• Recommend improvements based on real-world benefits administration and customer-service experience.

Desired Expertise

Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Employer-sponsored group benefits
• Health and welfare benefits administration
• Benefits or retirement plan administration
• Medicare and Medicaid
• Benefits navigation or advocacy
• Benefits-related call centers or customer service
• Communicating complex benefits information clearly and empathetically
• Quality assurance, rubric development, or content validation
• Reviewing synthetic data or AI-generated customer-service scenarios

Qualifications

• Substantial professional experience in benefits administration, benefits navigation, healthcare coverage, or a closely related field
• Strong understanding of Medicare and/or Medicaid considerations
• Familiarity with common customer questions, service workflows, escalation practices, and communication standards
• Ability to distinguish between general educational guidance and situations requiring referral to a licensed, legal, clinical, or plan-specific resource
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Experience reviewing structured datasets, scripts, call-center content, or AI-generated material is preferred
