Our AI recruiting agent sources and vets domain experts for our data platform that enables rapid production of high-quality training data. Our research spans high-value, specialized domains (legal, medical, finance, coding, etc.), where expert-level data is the hardest to produce and most valuable for advanced model performance. Our pipeline performance system ensures both quality and velocity.
Role Title: Art and Photography Curators
Role Type: Contractor
Location: Remote
Opportunity Snapshot
Pay: $55 to $100 per hour
Location: Fully remote, worldwide
You’ll need: Professional experience curating, acquiring, cataloguing or attributing art or photography for a museum, gallery, auction house, archive or collection
Your tasks: Review works and image sets, judge attribution, context and presentation, and explain your decisions in writing
You’ll review artworks and photographs and judge them: what they are, where they come from, how they should be shown and described. This is a good fit if you work as a curator, collections specialist, gallery or auction specialist, or photo archivist and make decisions about what to acquire, show or attribute.
Scope of Work
Look at works or sets of works and decide which fit a given theme, show or collection.
Judge attribution, date, medium, edition and print type (for example, vintage vs. later print) from what is shown and described.
Flag provenance gaps, doubtful attributions and condition or display risks.
Check that titles, labels and descriptions are accurate and fair to the work.
Flag rights, consent or ownership issues.
Write a short explanation for each decision so a reviewer can follow your reasoning.
What we’re looking for
Professional work as a curator, assistant curator, collections or exhibitions specialist, gallery director, auction house specialist, art or photo archivist, or registrar.
Experience with real decisions: selecting works, attributing them, planning displays or handling loans and acquisitions.
For photography: familiarity with prints, editions and photographic processes.
Comfort explaining why a work belongs in a show or why an attribution is doubtful.
Clear written English.
How the selection process works
with your resume and a short profile.
Complete the curation interview.
It is a short conversation about your experience with exhibitions, collections and attribution. You don’t need to prepare, look at anything or write anything. Finishing it is what moves your application forward.
Review.
We check your experience against what the project needs.
Onboarding and first task.
If selected, you get the guidelines and start with an initial task, which is reviewed before you continue.
