What You'll Do

Review real deal data rooms, including CIMs, financial statements, QoE reports, financial models, and legal documents, and use them to create and audit tasks that test analytical reasoning. You'll judge whether an answer is actually supported by the documents, the same way you would when pressure-testing a thesis before IC. Your diligence experience is what makes this work reliable.

Who We're Looking For

Finance professionals who have sat on a private equity or private credit deal team and personally worked live deals through diligence. You've spent time in data rooms on EBITDA-based transactions such as buyouts, add-ons, or direct loans, and you know how to trace a number back to its source. Many strong candidates started in an investment banking analyst program before moving to the buy side. If you've since moved into an MBA program, corporate development, strategic finance, or a startup, your past deal experience still qualifies you.

Requirements

- At least 1 year as an Analyst, Associate, Senior Associate, VP, or Principal on the investment team of a buyout or growth-buyout PE firm, or a private credit manager (direct lending, mezzanine, special situations); 2+ years preferred - Hands-on diligence experience on private, EBITDA-based deals, working directly with CIMs, QoE reports, models, and IC memos - Investment banking experience (M&A, coverage, leveraged finance, or restructuring) is a plus, especially before a buy-side role - Bachelor's degree required; an MBA is a plus but not required - Located in the United States or Canada - Strong attention to detail and clear written communication - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Reliable internet connection and computer - Desktop or laptop running Windows 10 (or later) or a recent version of macOS. Chromebooks, Linux-based systems, and tablets (e.g., iPad, Surface in tablet mode) are not supported - Work directly on your own computer. Remote desktop and remote access tools aren't permitted Please note: internships and summer associate roles don't count toward the experience requirement, and buy-side experience limited to real estate PE, venture capital, hedge funds, public markets, or LP/fund-of-funds investing isn't a match for this project.
