About the Project

We are looking for USA-based participants/operators to collect video data from household or commercial environments for an AI/computer vision data-collection project.

The project involves recording real-world activities using smartphones and 3D-printed grippers from different camera angles.

Recording Setup

Participants can use the smartphones they already have available. There is no restriction on the make or model of the mobile phone.

Two possible recording setups are:

Option 1 – 3-Phone Setup

• 3 smartphones of any available make/model

• 2 grippers

• 1 headmount

• Recording from multiple angles

Option 2 – 2-Phone Setup

• 2 smartphones of any available make/model

• 2 grippers

• Recording from multiple angles

Important: Candidates do not need to purchase or arrange a specific brand/model of smartphone. They may use their existing/available smartphones, provided the devices are capable of recording the required video.

Responsibilities

• Record videos in household or commercial environments according to the provided guidelines.

• Use the provided/approved 3D-printed grippers during the recording.

• Position smartphones appropriately to capture the required views and movements.

• Follow the project’s recording instructions and procedures.

• Ensure recordings are complete and usable.

• Submit the required raw video files along with corresponding JSON files/metadata.

• Maintain consistency across recording sessions.

Participant Consent & Data Rights

• Every participant/operator must complete and sign the required consent form.

• Participants must provide the necessary rights and permissions for the collected data to be used, transferred, sold, or commercially licensed as required for the project.

• All required consent documentation must be completed before data submission.

Requirements

• Must be located in the USA.

• Must have access to 2 or 3 smartphones that can record video.

• No specific mobile phone brand or model is required.

• Must have access to a suitable household or commercial environment for recording.

• Comfortable following recording instructions.

• Able to work with 3D-printed grippers.

• Reliable internet connection for uploading video data.

• Good attention to detail.

Deliverables

Participants will be required to submit:

• Raw video files

• Corresponding JSON files/metadata

• Completed participant/operator consent documentation

Video Specifications

The expected output is raw/unprocessed video. Final technical specifications such as resolution, frame rate, codec, and file format will be confirmed before the recording begins.
