Role Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished legal professional to serve as a Senior Legal Reviewer & AI Quality Consultant, supporting the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems used in legal applications.

In this role, you will leverage extensive legal expertise to review complex legal content, assess legal reasoning, validate jurisdictional accuracy, and establish quality standards for AI-generated outputs. You will act as a senior subject matter expert responsible for ensuring that legal datasets and evaluations reflect the standards expected of experienced practitioners and legal leadership professionals.

This opportunity is ideal for former or current General Counsel, Partners, Senior Litigators, Chief Legal Officers, Senior In-House Counsel, or other highly experienced legal professionals interested in contributing to the advancement of legal AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Quality Review & Evaluation

• Review and evaluate AI-generated legal content for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and professional quality.

• Assess legal reasoning, statutory interpretation, case analysis, and jurisdiction-specific considerations.

• Validate that outputs align with accepted legal principles and professional practice standards.

• Identify factual inaccuracies, legal ambiguities, logical inconsistencies, and unsupported conclusions.

Guideline Development & Improvement

• Review, refine, and improve legal evaluation guidelines, instructions, and quality frameworks.

• Ensure legal terminology and review criteria accurately reflect real-world legal practice.

• Contribute to the development of scalable quality standards for legal AI assessments.

Root Cause Analysis & Quality Enhancement

• Investigate quality issues within legal datasets and AI outputs.

• Determine whether issues arise from data quality, prompt design, evaluation criteria, or legal interpretation.

• Provide actionable recommendations to improve consistency, reliability, and overall quality.

Professional Standards Validation

• Ensure outputs meet the standards expected from senior legal professionals.

• Validate practical applicability and legal soundness across various legal domains.

• Review content for professional responsibility, ethical considerations, and legal compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Research, and Engineering teams.

• Translate complex legal concepts into structured guidance for non-legal stakeholders.

• Support the development of evaluation methodologies and legal quality assurance processes.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, LLM, or equivalent legal qualification.

• Current or former Bar admission in good standing preferred.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 20 years of legal practice experience.

• Significant experience in one or more of the following roles:

  • General Counsel

  • Chief Legal Officer

  • Senior In-House Counsel

  • Law Firm Partner

  • Senior Litigator

  • Lead Counsel

  • Senior Legal Advisor

Legal Expertise

Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
