QwestLab: pay, who can join and open jobs

Physical-AI data platform branded QwestLab by Kumu, the Filipino livestreaming app (founders Roland Ros and Rexy Dorado, over $100M raised from General Atlantic, Openspace and SIG). Contributors wear a phone on a head or chest mount and film household chores in first person (5+ minute single takes, English narration) to train robots; warehouse and retail tasks run in selected cities. Starts in the Philippines, other regions are planned. Big risks: payouts are not switched on yet (earnings sit in an in-app wallet, the privacy notice says USDC on a public blockchain), rates are set per project and not published, no legal entity is named, and you assign all rights in your video and likeness. No worker reviews yet.

How to get accepted at QwestLab

QwestLab publishes little about its hiring process; this is what we could confirm from its own pages and from workers.

Application steps

  1. Sign up at qwestlab.com/register with Google or email
  2. Watch the 2-minute how-it-works video
  3. Pick your phone and mount (head strap, helmet, camera glasses or chest mount with 0.5x lens)
  4. Sign the Participant Media and AI Data Agreement
  5. Record a short qualification clip (checked for framing, lighting, visible hands) unless using a head mount
  6. Pick a task and upload 5+ minute continuous first-person videos; paid per accepted clip

The assessment

No skills test. A practice/qualification clip is checked for framing, lighting and visible hands (waived for head-worn mounts). Every clip is reviewed; pay is based on minutes the client accepts.

Requirements

18+; smartphone recording 1080p at 60 fps (30 fps allowed) in landscape; head or chest mount (about 150-300 PHP); English narration in present tense; both hands visible; film only in your own home with no other people audible or visible; some tasks need warehouse or store access.

Tips to get accepted

How long it takes

Onboarding is minutes; clip review time not published; payouts not yet available.
